Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I attach my photograph?
    Once you have made your purchase via the checkout, please email your chosen photograph to info@cherishedmemories.co.uk, using the same name that you used at check out as the ‘Subject’ of the email. Emailing the photograph ensures that none of the quality of the photo is lost during transfer. Please note the quality of the engraved photograph is dependent on the photo provided; higher quality photos, with good lightening, produce clearer engravings; but the majority of photographs, new or old, can be engraved.
  • How do I take a fingerprint, handprint or footprint?
    These can easily be taken with a stamping ink pad, or paint. They can also be taken by shading a section of paper with a normal graphite pencil, rub your finger/hand/foot on the graphite and then place the finger/hand/foot onto a clean piece of paper to take a print. There are tutorials online which may help. Take a photograph of the print and send it in the same was as all other photographs.   • How will my photograph be stored?
    Emailing the photograph ensures a higher level of data protection. Photographs will only be used for the intended purpose, and may be displayed on the website or social media pages if permission is given by the purchaser. Photographs are stored for a maximum of 30 days from the date of delivery to allow for any queries over purchases, after which time they will be permanently deleted from all business storage. Photographs of the products will remain on the website or social media where permission was granted. Please see our 'Privacy Policy', under 'About', for full details.
  • How long is the turnaround time?
    The turnaround time varies according to the amount of orders received. The current turnaround time is displayed in the announcement bar on the 'Home' page.
  • I made a mistake on my order, can it be changed?
    On all personalised orders, please double check your personalisation details before checking out. Orders cannot be amended after being submitted. Refunds or exchanges are not permitted for customer errors. Please see our 'Refund Policy' on the 'About' page for full details.
  • When will my order arrive?
    The 'Shipping Policy' is located on the 'About' page and contains all delivery timeframes. All items are currently sent via RoyalMail 48h Tracked. Please note that delivery periods do not include turnaround time.
  • How can I track my order?
    All orders are currently sent via RoyalMail 48h Tracked Service. A tracking number will be sent via email, once the item has been posted, to the email provided at the checkout. Please use the RoyalMail website to track your order using the tracking number provided.
